The Oscar Wanje Foundation is dedicated to empowering and uplifting vulnerable communities in Kenya. Our mission is to create sustainable change by addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality through education, infrastructure, and women's empowerment.
We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and we are committed to ensuring that all children have access to quality education. To achieve this goal, we work with local schools and communities to provide resources such as textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and scholarships to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and succeed.
We recognize that access to basic necessities such as clean water, healthcare, and adequate shelter are essential to improving the well-being of communities. Therefore, we partner with local organizations and individuals to provide clean water initiatives, facilitate the installation of electricity in health centers and schools, and provide building materials for classrooms and health facilities. In addition, we also provide tents for shelter to boda boda stages and market women during hot and sunny weather.
We believe that women are key drivers of change in their communities, and we are committed to empowering them through economic opportunities. To achieve this, we provide women's groups with machines and training to start their own businesses and generate income for their families. We also believe in the importance of women's health and well-being and thus facilitated in NHIF issuance to the less vulnerable and elderly in the society.
At the Oscar Wanje Foundation, we are committed to building long-term relationships with the communities we serve. We work collaboratively with local leaders and organizations to identify the most pressing needs and develop sustainable solutions that create lasting change.
Our mission is to create a brighter future for all members of the communities we serve, and we believe that with the help of our partners, donors, and volunteers, we can achieve this goal.
